Sg tech leads the digital transformation of the Transit and Transportation sector in Colombia

Sg tech has been selected to spearhead a significant digital transformation project in Colombia’s Transit and Transportation sector. This project aims to enhance access to traffic and transit information by centralizing, updating, and validating the data of drivers, companies, and vehicles within the country’s transportation systems.

The project will be developed in several phases. In the first phase, the focus will be on the development and testing of a new technological platform that will enable the validation and management of driver and vehicle information. This platform will also streamline the authorization of procedures handled by transit agencies and allow real-time updates on approved processes. To date, Sg tech has invested more than 10,000 hours in the development of this project, with an estimated team of 50 to 60 professionals specializing in various fields of expertise.

Once the first phase is completed, the new platform will be integrated with existing administrative systems, ensuring the implementation of advanced security and accessibility technologies to guarantee efficient and secure service. Sg tech will apply industry best practices to ensure continuous and uninterrupted operation.

In addition to the technological development, the project includes a training process for the staff of the Transit and Transportation department to ensure a smooth transition and effective adoption of the new technologies and procedures. This training component is crucial to ensuring that the new system is optimally utilized from the outset.

Sg tech stands out for its highly qualified team, proven methodology, and commitment to operational excellence. According to Sg tech’s project director, Colombia’s Transit and Transportation department will be able to offer improved services to citizens and businesses, speeding up processes and enhancing transparency and security in data management, while meeting the highest security standards. This project marks a significant step toward the modernization and digitalization of public services in Colombia.
